Why early regulatory planning matters
Fertilisers aren’t registered in Australia — there’s no application to file and no regulator sign-off before a product goes to market. Oversight runs state by state rather than federally, so being compliant in one state doesn’t mean being compliant in the next. Fertiliser Australia’s National Code of Practice is the main national reference point, but it’s a labelling code, not a registration, so the risk of getting it wrong sits with the company.
